Philips Inside Sales Specialist, Oral Healthcare in Stamford, Connecticut


In this role, you have the opportunity to

Provide internal product and service support to dental professionals in US and sell the Philips Oral Healthcare portfolio to dental professionals over the phone.

You are responsible for

Manage a territory of customers and non-customers, offering products in a consultative manner, and matching customer needs with Philips Oral Healthcare Portfolio. Inside Sales Specialists are additionally responsible for obtaining new customers and acting as a sole resource in the area. As an Inside Sales Specialist you will be a critical component of the Philips Oral Healthcare sales function to our Dental Professionals offices.

o The Philips Sonicare, Philips Zoom, and Oral Care portfolio link to Dental Professionals within an assigned geographic territory

o Achieving established revenue growth expectations for dental practices within assigned territory

o Selling the Philips Oral Healthcare product portfolio to dental professionals to dispense or use with patients

o Full understanding the science and clinical significance behind the Sonicare power toothbrush, Zoom Whitening and Oral Care products

o Responsible for direct business-to-business selling and professional product detailing

o Primary responsibilities include driving professional product usage, brand recommendations (MOR, Most Often Recommended), and meeting/exceeding direct sales targets

o Builds strong strategic consultative sales partnerships with Dental Professional stakeholders including Specialists, Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants and Dental Team Members

o Develop and execute territory business plan based on driving product usage, recommendation and sales results within existing, new, and Enterprise accounts.

o Utilize CRM system, Sales Management Data, and Dashboard tools on a daily basis to track call activities and order entry

o Cultivate successful partnerships with marketing teams to efficiently maximize territory coverage

o Organizing territory to allow for efficient and effective coverage of all dental professional offices within territory geography

o Build Professional Educator and Industry Key Opinion Leader relationships to drive recommendations and sales to include participation in dental conventions, local dental/hygiene associations & study clubs and dental/ hygiene schools

o Utilizes Philips clinical information and customer technologies to enhance DP business plans and in office plan execution

o Effectively translates consultative practice building techniques and in-office merchandising objectives into office level implementation

o Understands and selects the right promotional tactics to optimize sales

o Completing all administrative duties as per company policy

o Achieve all established key performance indicator expectations

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university

  • 1 plus years of documented sales success in inside sales or B2B capacity.

  • Dental or Medical Sales experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, phone and presentation skills

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and processes
