Advanced High Voltage Electrical Engineer:

Image Chain High Voltage Electrical Engineer leads solution for special task, work with cross function to understand user requirement, customer needs, provide multiple proposal and perform analysis for decision making, deliver the technical content, performance, intellectual property and quality deliverables of an NPI program.

The position has design responsibility to ensure that product programs achieve all design objectives required to meet customer and business needs, including: feature and functionality, quality, reliability, serviceability, manufacture-ability, regulatory, compliance and cost.

KARS (but are not limited to):

  • Have working experience in High voltage product design

  • Transformer design, especial for high frequency transformer design;

  • Insulation structure design ;

  • High voltage multiplier design;

  • Insulation material performance;

  • High voltage divider design;

  • Supporting supplier screening and supplier development

  • Designing at least one of the following electrical components and interconnects: digital, FPGA, Analog, low-level RF

  • Engaging in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support

  • Ensuring reliability, performance and delivery through supplier relationships

  • Design activities

  • Understanding marketing and customer needs of product

  • Leading design feasibility study under pressure with cross function

  • Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, serviceability, warranty, cost and manufacturability

  • Developing engineering design concepts for components that have tough requirements for usability, precision, reliability, cost and schedule

  • Conducting analysis of installed base and new product reliability using FMEA, Weibull Analysis tools

  • Verification/Validation activity:

  • Supporting subsystem development of verification and validation activity and execution

  • Verifying and validating subsystem level reliability

  • Working with service engineer to improve product serviceability and reduce warranty cost

  • Supporting the subsystem defect and design change activity during product development phase

  • Design transfer/post market activity:

  • Working closely with supplier to ensure the product quality

  • Supporting product design transfer R&D delivery

  • Supporting field issue analysis and close

Design Outputs/Program Deliverables

  1. Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible

  2. EHS compliance

Qualifications:

  • Master Degree in high voltage engineering education background; 35 years work experience

  • Schematic capture and circuit board layout software;

  • Familiar high voltage design software;

  • Good communication skill, careful character, strong sense of responsibility,willing to work under pressure, teamwork spirit

You are responsible for

The position has design responsibility to ensure that product programs achieve all design objectives required to meet customer and business needs, including: feature and functionality, quality, reliability, serviceability, manufacture-ability, regulatory, compliance and cost.

The advanced HV Engineer must understand and capture the user needs into subsystem requirement and design activities. The HV engineer learns the practical application of HV design principals, achieves expertise in HV section, and investigates new techniques as part of a team. The HV engineer is responsible for designing HV product/subsystem release solutions.

KARS (but are not limited to):

  • Review and coordination of the Image Chain HV Product Roadmap, provide the technical input.

  • Supporting supplier screening and supplier development

  • Engaging in all phases of new HV product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support

  • Identifying and developing new opportunities to leverage Strategic Sourcing objectives and Common Technology initiatives in the modality product line

  • Ensuring reliability, performance and delivery through supplier relationships

  • Design activities

  • Understanding marketing and customer needs of HV product

  • Development of circuit designs for compact medium frequency high voltage units (frequency range up to 350kHz.).

  • Dimensioning of the necessary electric and electromagnetic components for generation the high voltage (transformers, cascades, voltage multiplier).

  • Calculating of electromagnetic components and units for medium frequencies (chokes, transformers, inductances) with the use of the newest advanced magnetic materials.

  • EMC design

  • Dimensioning of PCBs using for high voltage applications

  • DFM design

  • Leading design feasibility study under pressure with cross function

  • Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, serviceability, warranty, cost and manufacturability

  • Developing HV design concepts for components that have tough requirements for usability, precision, reliability, cost and schedule

  • Master Degree in Power Electronics engineering, or Electronics engineering with 3+ years power electronics work experience.

  • Good theoretical and practical knowledge in electrical engineering, especially in the field of high voltage and power electronics.

  • Experiences in design of power electronic units for higher frequencies and knowledge of resonant power inverters.

  • Consolidated knowledge in EMC

  • Experiences and knowledge with electronic circuit simulation tools (e.g. PSpice, MathCad)

  • Communication skills and capacity for teamwork
