Philips EHS Engineer in Suzhou, China


In this role, you have the opportunity to

Build the EHS Management requirements for the advanced Medical Device production lines. Implement, Monitor and improve the EHS Management System to provide Healthy& Safe workplaces, prevent work-related injury and continual improve the EHS performance.

You are responsible for

  • Obtaining the EHS related license and permit (Environmental appraisal, occupational health, fire safety, special equipment etc.) for the new product

  • Providing EHS expertise for the layout/building/process design of the new product manufacturing

  • Working with the project team to identify, assess and control the H&S hazards and Environmental Factors of the manufacturing process

  • Select appropriate personnel protection equipment and evaluate the effectiveness

  • Developing EHS training program for the new product

  • Implement EHS management systems/Corporate requirements into the responsible production lines

  • Monitor and improve the EHS performance of the responsible production lines

You are a part of

The Operation team that are manufacturing Medical Devices. You have a direct reporting line to the EHS Leader , with production managers as your key stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Certified “Safety Engineer” preferred

  • Familiar with ISO 14001 and ISO45001 requirements

  • 5 years working experience at EHS field

  • Heavy industry experience with welding, deburring, dust control, ergonomics and dangerous chemicals preferred

  • Excellent English / Chinese skills (strong written and verbal communications skills)

  • Ability to work within a cross functional organization

  • Multi-cultural awareness

  • Good communication skills

  • Team working spirit

  • Strong skill of using Excel / Word / PPT to generate various reports
