Philips Manufacturing Program Director in Suzhou, China


In this role, you have the opportunity to

  • Work closely with internal and external customers

  • Work with plant manager and peers to build up a world class medical device manufacturing excellence center in China

  • Develops programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the manufacturing organization to the highest level of operational performance.

  • Part of the global industry footprint strategy discussion making group, implement the industry footprint strategy in APAC

  • Lead the big industry footprint related projects

You are responsible for

  • Act as an internal account manager to multi business teams, understand the business requirement, and translate these requirements back to multi-modality factory.

  • Develop customers satisfaction related KPI, monitor and drive improvements

  • Work with cross function team to implement the industry footprint strategy

  • Leverage global resource to execute big industry footprint related projects

  • Delivers projects on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates. Ensures there is an optimum production process as regards routing, supplies and manpower levels.

  • Strong and smooth communication and coordination with internal stakeholders, e.g. BG, Market Team, Country Management function

  • Executes plan to reduce costs.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Great project management skill

  • With solid knowledge on manufacturing line design concept, flexibility and manpower plan.

  • Strong knowledge on machine and equipment capability, capacity, changeover and installation; tool life

  • Supply & demand knowledge & process

  • NPI & LCM Project experience

  • Good communication skill to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong people management and leadership skill on people development, attraction and coaching to the diverse team

  • Min. 15 years of manufacturing or operational medium or big site leader experiences in electronic and/or healthcare domain.

  • Willing to take challenge in a dynamic and continuous changing environment

  • Fluent spoken and written English
