Research, plan, design, write and edit documentation and training materials for user and service documentation.
Technical writing to include such documents as calibration, installation, planned maintenance, repair/replace, performance test, diagnostics, user guides, reference manuals, quick reference guides and online documentation.
Must manage multiple documentation projects by prioritizing those projects, developing and coordinating the plans, schedules and deliverables with other members of the project team and manage the document review and approval process.
For the compilation of the service documentation, it requires considerable interaction with Service Innovations, CT Engineering, Technical Support Specialists, and Training Instructors to identify service needs and requirements.
Must read engineering specifications, participate in design reviews, and interview subject matter experts. Actively participate on project teams.
Maintain appropriate support documentation according to government requirements. Update department web page with approved documentation.
Interact effectively will all levels of the organization.
Interact with remote locations (via email, teleconferences) for meetings, interactions with co-workers.
Keep up with current trends in the field of technical communications.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience: (Specify the educational background, qualifications and experience typically required to perform the job fully and effectively. If applicable, also indicate any desired skills for the job.)
Bachelor of Science degree preferred Strong computer skills required, including desktop publishing and web development. Candidate must have at least 2 years of experience using Framemaker and be well-versed in the use of Framemaker for publishing. Graphics programs such as Corel or Adobe PhotoShop are also a required element for the position. 2-4 years experience writing service documentation

Creating and maintaining of English service documentation for systems and components of the Philips business unit in Suzhou
Testing and validating of service documentation
Obtaining and reconditioning of necessary information
Maintaining of data within the content management System (schema ST4)
Attending of system assembling in order to verify technical documentations

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and
3 years of related experience in technical author.
