Your Challenge

Support the business across the work streams by working with our suppliers to deliver value to the business. This is achieved by supplier management, tendering and negotiation as well as partnering with internal and external stakeholders.

You are responsible for

  • Managing all aspects of at least one major procurement project across either Personal Health marketing or Health systems.

  • Supporting in functional areas of a procurement department, which may include savings measurement and system maintenance.

  • Supporting sourcing and supplier management process, contract negotiation, preparation and reporting, supplier onboarding process, creation and qualification.

  • Analysing data/processes to identify improvement opportunities

  • Understanding vendor base and operations including vendor and customer visits.

  • Participating in internal Philips training and personal development program.

Your Team

You will be part of a lean and nimble global procurement team consists of experienced logistics and Supply Chain professionals. You will be based in Australia collaborating with both domestics and overseas team members. You will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional business teams at various levels of the organization for projects on regional/global scale.

To be considered, you should possess the following:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor/master degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Marketing or Engineering

  • Independent and organized individual who have an interest in healthcare technology industry

  • Strong Analytical and critical thinking skills, good with numbers and attention to details

  • Excellent oral, written, and communication/presentation skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) skills.

  • Available for a full time 6 months internship (Jan to Jun 2020)
