Your responsibilities


Product Manager or Senior Product Manager (depending on experience) with responsibility for the definition and management of a portfolio of product solutions in the area of clinical information systems (CIS) for the Japanese market.

Responsible for upstream marketing activities for the products / solutions, including definition of the strategy and its enablers.

The Product Manager is accountable for defining, launching and building profitable product solutions that transform healthcare in the Japanese market.

The person works directly with R&D and other marketing functions to ensure products/solutions are developed to the feature and price specifications that each target segment in the Japanese market demands.

The Product Manager owns the product life cycle from concept phase through development and launch and eventually, end of life. The Product Manager is required to have deep expertise in market segmentation, product strategy, competitive strategy, and product placement. Specific product/solution responsibilities are to drive road map of CIS portfolio in Japan and drive integration with and leverage other Philips Information solutions to grow the portfolio business. Downstream marketing responsibilities to develop and drive marketing plans that build on existing market share to further grow the business. Drive definition, development and introduction of market specific solutions and value propositions by creating value added services and bundle with CIS products and relevant business models. He/she generates market demand, identifying profitable areas of growth and running campaigns. Manage solution road map to grow the business locally while moving existing products closer to Philips Patient Care Analytics(PCA) portfolio alignment.

We are looking for



-University degree and at least 5 years of directly related experience in marketing, product management, product development, or related field

-Direct product management experience within other software businesses

-Expertise in customer segments and the Japanese national healthcare system.

-Understands the dynamics of complex healthcare Informatics solutions marketing and the dynamics of “installed base” market

-Familiarity with the Healthcare and Informatics solutions that currently dominate the the Japanese market, and with the emerging technologies that will serve them in the future

-Superior business acumen and General Manager mindset

-Boldness to create/shape market segments wherever possible, exploiting Philips technologies, market positions and brand

-Demonstrable expertise in use of Value Proposition Creation methodology in helping to define customer insights and product/solutions that provide clearly differential benefits

-Ability to synthesize market and customer feedback and existing and new products into solutions; comfortable making trade-offs, decisively;

-Expertise delivering complex projects to meet demanding feature, cost, quality and introduction date targets

-Demonstrable communication skills and ability to lead an organization to develop market-leading products/solutions

-Strong team player with proven ability to influence colleagues

-Results oriented

-Experience operating in multicultural environment

-Regular International travel will be required (US, Europe, Other) 1-2 times a quarter


Fluent in Japanese, Fluent in English (written/verbal)
