Philips Field Service & Tech Support (UK Based) in United Kingdom - Home Based, United Kingdom


In this role, you have the opportunity to

Bring to market non-invasive brain activity monitoring products, which complements our existing neurological informatics portfolio, to address better disorders such as epilepsy, stroke, trauma and Parkinson's.

You are responsible for

  • Performs product installations at customer’s facilities, resolving and documenting customer concerns and complaints, becoming familiar with customer’s needs and suggesting new products/upgrades/replacements as needed, and providing feedback to sales and engineering on customer needs and product acceptance.

  • Responsible for 24/7 clinical hotline duties when they are scheduled to do so.

  • Assists hardware and software engineering in tracking down issues requiring the field experience of a Support Engineer.

You are a part of

Philips’ industry leading position in imaging into the Computational Neurology & Oncology spaces, with a view to guide therapy and improve outcomes. Philips is the premier Neuro Mapping Company in the world with a strong ability to integrate anatomical/structural mapping of the brain (from MR, CT, PET) with electrical & longitudinal mapping. This allows Philips to build computational algorithms based on imaging + dense array EEG data to guide interventions & improve outcomes (which are currently quite poor) – particularly for patients with Epilepsy (>50M worldwide).

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree or four-year technical degree is preferred.

  • A minimum of two years of related technical experience and customer support is preferred.

  • Familiarity with both software and hardware components is highly desirable.

  • Expertise within EEG space is a plus.

  • Required to read and understand technical and non-technical documents, maintain familiarity with the performance characteristics of highly technical products, and be able to interface with and train customers and technical and nontechnical Philips Neuro personnel.

  • The ability to solve complex problems with our products.

  • Travel 50-70% of the time and work hours outside the norm of 8-5pm
