PHILIPS Digital and Computational Pathology (DCP) develops, produces, sells and implements medical devices for digitisation of pathological results. The complex and customized solutions consists of scanners for digitisation of tissue samples for histological diagnosis, Image Management System (IMS) software solutions as well as server and memory solutions for storage.
These solutions are complemented by products/applications of computational pathology for automated image analyses and tumour detections (Deep Learning Algorithms) to support pathologists for cancer diagnostics.
Support sales in delivering content rich, and relevant product demonstrations
Providing workflow analysis to understand customer needs are part of pre-sales activities
Drive for the conversion of customer demonstrations to Orders
Drive for 100% digitization of histo-pathology at customer site post-installation via training and ongoing monitoring programs
Authority to make decisions on all customer training activities as directed by Management Team
Digital Pathology Solutions. All of this in line with the DPS Group Strategy and authorization matrix
As Application Specialist, you will report into the Business Marketing Manager UK&I for DCP and you will have frequent exposure to the entire European application specialist team including one colleague already based in the UK. You also will work closely with our Sales manager DCP in UK&I, as well as further implementation & service teams for this region in your daily work.
Become part of the Digital and Computational Pathology team in Philips UK&I and work on cutting-edge technology to digitalize pathology labs across the region. As application specialist, you will play a key role in bringing our solutions to life. The DCP business group represents a fast growing environment within Philips with great opportunities to grow with us.
What We Are Looking For
Educational background in Biology, Histology, Biomedical Science (Pathology) or equivalent vocational training. Background in related field such as Radiology would be considered.
Min. 5 years of experience as Application Specialist for complex medical device solutions (preferably Pathology or Radiology) or within a laboratory.
Ideally experience with(in) clinical anatomical pathology labs and related IT environment (LIMS). Related experience of Medical IT in a similar discipline would also be considered such as Radiology (RIS / PACS)
Excellent customer interaction skills, patience and determination to succeed
Strong ability to learn domain knowledge and link product to application
Flexible mindset within this fast growing organization
Attention to detail combined with a strong customer focus
Microsoft Office Skills
Ability to travel 70% (UK&I region)
Fluent in English (written and oral),
