This job will spend 75% of the time customer facing, 25% of the time on required analytics and other supporting tasks as outlined below. To improve the efficiency and effectiveness of clients in providing care to populations and patients and to contribute to the growth of Healthcare Transformation Services within relevant Market Group. Responsible for delivering consulting services to provider clients primarily in the area of clinical and business process improvement and high-cost populations including the use of data analytics to measure client performance. Collaborate with others to support the development of public private partnerships and managed equipment services contracts.
You are responsible for (but not limited to)
Responsibilities throughout the Clinical Transformation Process
Acts as a change agent for clinical transformation, embedding new clinical practice processes using the eICU software
Demonstrates strong current knowledge of health care environment and how it relates to the Philips eICU product line
Creates collaborative relationship with e ICU center and ICU leadership teams
Collaborates with the Philips eICU Strategic Account Executive to produce effective relationships with hospital executive team
Works collaboratively with the Philips eICU Services Team, including but not limited to, the Project Manager, Field Engineer, Technical Analyst and Product Team on all client-related projects
Manages the clinical activities of software upgrades and/or implementation of new Philips eICU products and/or programs
Maps current ICU patient care workflows to future virtual care workflows
Consults with internal Philips eICU staff on complex care team integration issues
Supports the Product team when necessary
Provides clinical support to the Sales team, not limited to presentations and convention support.
Ensure clients maintains high usage of the eCareManager features and tools.
Responsibilities during the Implementation and Training Phase
Facilitates the clinical implementation of Philips e ICU Program at client sites
Develops e ICU Program Plan in conjunction with the Philips Strategic Account Executive
Facilitates the process to ensure successful integration of e ICU workflows with existing ICU workflows
Attends all internal and client project meetings, or provides updates to the Project Manager prior to the meeting
Provides the Project Manager with updates to the clinical activities as outlined in the Project Plan
Guides the Client e ICU Operations Director in assimilation of new role, providing resources for growth, including e ICU Operations Director Mentorship Program
Assists e ICU Leadership with goal setting to achieve their desired program outcomes
Facilitates the Philips eICU Physician Liaison and client with relationship development
Coordinates and provides e ICU Program standards for client’s internal marketing plan
Conducts the training of Philips eICU e CareManager System technology – including, but not limited to team collaboration to determine training objectives and appropriate training programs and presentations
Incorporates the client’s nursing model and workflows into a customized training program
Works with client to construct all customized client training material (includes eICU training manuals, user guides, quick references)
Educates the client in the e CareManager reports and reporting solutions, not limited to Interactive Benchmarking and User Activity Reports
Assists the client in identification of program metrics
Manages the client support during activation of the e ICU center and the ICUs
Delivers the e ICU Program implementation with a high degree of client satisfaction with high NPS scores
Post e ICU Center Activation Program Management
Regularly meets with e ICU and ICU management teams to develop and maintain strong business relationships and gather information regarding system functionality, as well as program operational effectiveness
Serves as the point of contact for client clinical issues post-activation
Tracks program performance metrics and provides feedback to e ICU Program leadership
Conducts program effectiveness reviews: Phased and Annual Reviews
Supports e ICU Program plan with tools and onsite support as negotiated
Manages clinical aspect of upgrade process and/or implementation of any new Philips eICU products and programs
Works with Philips eICU Services team to support client clinical transformation post-activation
Trains and supports measurement and use of the Reporting Services metrics and reporting solutions, as applicable to the client
Ensures delivery of accurate Quarterly Reports
Provides weekly status reports to appropriate team members
Encourages participation of Operations Directors in the monthly Operations Director call
Encourages attendance of the eICU Leadership to Philips’ yearly Connect to Care conference.
Ensures that customers continue to use all the features, functions and tools associated with eCareManager
Verbalizes the understanding that clients who are not fully using the eICU software, are at risk of leaving the program
Team Building and Communication Responsibilities
Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills
Fosters open communication
Willingly accepts and gives feedback to the Clinical Services team members
Identifies areas of potential growth both professionally and as a team on an annual basis
Supports team agreements and service line agreements
Proactively creates individual goals and reviews with manager on bi-annual basis
Participates in and increases client engagement at Philips’ yearly Connect to Care conference
Maintain patient confidentiality
Report unauthorized personnel to Security Administration
Report security breaches to Security Administration
Other Duties as Assigned
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
RN active license in home state
At least 5 years Critical Care nursing experience
2 or more years project management experience
Experience in leading clinical teams or projects
Experience in formal presentations and/or clinical training
Understanding of workflow processes and development
Understanding of the change process
Excellent interpersonal/communication/collaboration skills
Clinical consultant background
Proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel
Must be able to perform up to 75% travel
Experience in formal creation, refinement and evaluation of clinical workflows
Experience in consulting or system/organizational focused initiatives or quality projects
Lean or Six Sigma certified
An advanced practice role in Nursing, Masters Degree or equivalent experience
This position will require you to meet all customer specific mandates such as vaccinations and or screening tests.
This is a home-based position but candidates must be located near a major (non-regional) airport (within 1 hours drive) to be considered.
