Philips Forecasting Operations Manager (Amazon) in United States of America - Home Based, Massachusetts

Your Challenge:

The Sr. Forecast & Operations Manager will be responsible for the forecast accuracy and Operational excellence of the Philips’ business on Amazon.com. This individual will be responsible for synthesizing internal and Vendor Central reports to support forecast analysis and updates on a weekly basis and manage the 12-month forecast review meeting each month. This role will be responsible for monitoring and driving key operational metrics for each business, lead weekly discussions with Amazon operational representatives and discussions during Amazon QBR meetings. This individual will be the key point of contact responsible for all Instock day to day management, interfacing with Amazon Instock Managers and Retail teams. This role will also be responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to improve service to the customer and meet long-term operational efficiency, cost savings and exceed KPIs (VLT, Efficiency Receive, Confirmation Rates, and Accuracy.)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Generate customer demand forecasts based on historic sales analysis, Vendor Central weekly forecasts, promotional data and key metrics including LBB, RepOOS and traffic

  • Create weekly forecast reports, synthesizing data from various internal and external sources, coordinate inputs with National Account Mgrs (NAMs) and upload forecasts into JDA

  • Conduct meetings with demand planners to evaluate short term and long range forecasts

  • Lead the monthly Customer Forecast Review Meeting; manage process and coordinate inputs w/NAMs to achieve key deliverables, supporting document and business insights for meeting

  • Conduct forecast accuracy reconciliation analysis; Goal is 65% accuracy on Lag-2 timeframe

  • Track shipments vs. monthly forecasts, track PO’s during peak Prime Day/Black Friday

  • Monitor customer’s Vendor Operations Scorecard and lead Operations meetings with Philips & Amazon Operations/Instock Team to ensure targets are achieved

  • Identify and lead internal operational initiatives to achieve long term KPI improvements

  • Develop annual forecasts in conjunction with sales team for annual business planning

  • Compile presentations for various NA leadership meetings

  • Prepare NA S&OP templates

Basic Qualifications –

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Planning, Information Systems Management

  • 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, or Inventory Management or equivalent experience such as Consulting, Finance, or Operations

  • Superior analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to dive deep, identify root causes and recommend scalable solutions

  • High degree of organization with ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously

  • Excellent business judgment, strong written, oral and presentation communication skills

  • Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves

  • Demonstrated team player with positive attitude and adaptability to overcome challenges

  • Successful experience with 'Bottom Up' forecasting approach

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Proficiency with JDA and Tableau are preferred

Preferred Qualifications –

  • MBA with a quantitative focus, or advanced degrees in Operations Management, Mathematics/Engineering

  • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude, high proficiency managing advanced models

  • Strong proficiency in analytical tools including Excel, JDA, Tableau and statistical software

  • Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

You are part of the Philips Amazon team and will be reporting to the Director of Sales, overseeing Amazon.com.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Planning, Information Systems Management
