You will have the Opportunity to: Work with multiple data point sets to develop tools to help solve problems through defining, analyzing and communicating key operational performance metrics and business trends. Work independently across teams with the ability to think autonomously and take initiative to identify opportunities for business development, understand challenges and recommend solutions to capture these business opportunities.

Ability to tackle complex business questions, mine data, and generate business relevant insights that are communicated in a simple to consume and thorough fashion. This position is responsible to prepare business specific analysis by conducting research, identifying trends, and applying problem solving techniques

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Design, manage, and lead development of advanced analytics solutions across all dental professional brands and teams. The CA Analyst will work with the CA manager to get supporting data to assist in analytics. With the absence of POS data for the channel, review of sales activity with customers will help us better understand new opportunities.

  • Perform in-depth data mining and advanced analytics using data from a variety of disparate customer databases and platforms (e.g., PowerCerv, BW, Cognos, Avaya, and HDS).

  • Design and deliver detailed PowerPoint templates to communicate insights and recommendations .

  • Leverage data visualization capabilities to bring forth new ideas and insights to the organization, effectively communicating all work to cross-departmental sales, marketing, and management teams.

  • Continuously work to identify opportunities to improve/automate analytical techniques, enhancing the delivery of insights and recommendations, with the ability to propose new models/refinements as needed.

  • Build custom VBA macros and share advanced data manipulation techniques to automate and improve reporting processes. Create/share SQL queries with team to improve report query run-time.

  • Regularly check in with CA managers to help identify additional reporting needs/enhancements and incremental revenue opportunities, as well as to ensure the current tools are being used as efficiently/effectively as possible.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant business experience with a proven track record of delivering highly successful and innovative data science products that drive significant business results. Must have strong analytical skills with a proven ability to analyze raw data, find useful relationships, creatively analyze trends, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations to guide future decision making.

  • Can demonstrate a fact-based selling approach.

  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) with very strong Excel skills (e.g., VBA macros, pivot tables, lookup functions, conditional statements, advanced filters, troubleshooting formulas, etc.) and an ability to adapt to new software and technologies.

  • Experience in designing, building, testing and validating analytical models using a variety of statistical/business intelligence tools (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS, JMP, Minitab, Cognos), with experience applying advanced statistical concepts (e.g., probabilities, correlation analyses, regression analyses, simulation modeling, and optimization). Strong SQL skills and/or other query based/programming languages are highly recommended.

  • Experience creating and conducting survey research to measure CA program success, size of the prize, and customer/employee satisfaction levels, to help improve overall reporting, analyses and insight generation.

  • Understanding of leading and lagging KPIs and working with the team to generate the most useful reporting mechanisms to support the insight-led account reporting.

  • Knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines including primary research, customer segmentation, targeting, direct marketing, loyalty programs, customer lifetime value and ROI analyses, database marketing principles, and best in class analytics methodologies.

  • Strong Project Management skills with experience in project evaluation and prioritization, definition of scope and requirements, time and resource allocation, and coordination with project leader(s), team members, and key stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and presentation skills, with an ability to communicate complex, technical concepts in a compelling and insightful manner to a broad stakeholder audience with varying levels of awareness.

  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics

  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, & Excel

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to be creative, write proficiently and use visual graphic design

  • Skill in facilitation and presentation

  • Strong organizational skills and extremely detail-oriented

  • Skill in project management and ability to multi-task and prioritize frequently changing needs

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work with a variety of other disciplines both inside and outside the organization

  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment and discretion

  • Work as a team player with employees at all levels

  • Ability to take initiative in the absence of precise direction

  • Ability to work with multiple interruptions and tight deadlines

  • Ability to work independently

  • Sensitive to confidential information
