This position manages Regional sales personnel to achieve and exceed sales plans within a specific budget. The Regional Manager will also recruit, hire, develop and retain Region sales personnel. The Regional Manager provides input to the Vice President of Sales regarding sales strategies and plans. The Regional Manager develops sales goals and objectives for each territory on a yearly, quarterly and monthly basis to achieve and exceed Regional Annual Budget.
You are responsible for
Provide coaching and feedback to Business Development Sales Reps through field visits and phone contact.
Evaluates performance after sales calls, presentations, etc., in order to improve technical and selling skills of sales people.
Assure all field sales people are meeting or exceeding all objectives set including both revenue based objectives and market development objectives.
Recruit, interview and hire field personnel for the Region.
Assure that new sales staff receives appropriate orientation and training.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all key account personnel within the Region in order to support selling.
Provide performance and salary review of field sales personnel annually and submit recommendations to appropriate management.
Maintain sales data and records on each territory in order to understand market trends, provide direction to employees, and communicate competitive data.
Effectively control/monitor selling expenses in the Region.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Minimum of 5 years successful medical device/pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience.
DME experience is preferred.
Must be able to travel >70% of the time.
Demonstrable success in previous employment indicated by a high level of sales performance.
Solid job skills in business planning and territory financial analysis.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills, is team oriented, and possesses demonstrated conceptual/consultative sales skills.
