Philips Sales, Strategic Business Development Specialist - FORS (North America) in United States of America - Home Based, Massachusetts

In this role you will play a pivotal role in the introduction and adoption of the new FORS (Fiber Optic RealShape) technology, with a focus on the North America market. FORS is a unique technology that enables real-time 3D visualization of the full shape of devices inside the body without the need for fluoroscopy thus allowing us to break through the current limitations of image guided therapy by reducing the dependency on fluoroscopy while seeing intra-body devices more clearly. This role is home based in the United States of America with regular travel to customer sites in the USA and to the Philips Healthcare campus in the Netherlands (Eindhoven).

You are responsible for

  • Conclude partnerships on the FORS solution with selected luminary sites in North America – driving all aspects of order acquisition

  • Develop long term relationships with the selected luminary sites and build a community of users and future users around FORS

  • Build qualified funnel of customers for the planned commercial scale-up according to mid-term sales targets

  • Monitor and drive short and long-term adoption, working with FORS application specialists and marketing

  • Supporting creating the market through participation in exhibitions, congresses and other activities

  • Facilitate associated Philips sales synergies, in close collaboration with established Philips Image Guided Therapy sales & marketing teams in North America

The FORS venture, an entrepreneurial, multidisciplinary team that acts as a start-up in the larger corporation, tasked to build a new business whilst leveraging the competencies of the broader Philips organization. In the FORS venture you will be joining the FORS business team which is responsible for the clinical, marketing, sales and business development activities for this new and exciting medical device.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, field marketing or new business development in Medtech

  • Experience in Medtech markets for vascular surgery, interventional radiology or interventional cardiology

  • Bachelor or Master in Business, Marketing or other relevant area

  • Ability to present convincing arguments and influence others, proven negotiation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain extensive networks

  • Innovative mindset & entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on approach

  • Passionate personality with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to travel
