In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Join Philips as an innovative Systems Engineer developing premier neurology solutions. At Philips Neuro, we focus on a strong ability to integrate anatomical/structural mapping of the brain from Magnetic Resonance (MR), Computed Tomography (CT) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) with electrical brain imaging electroencephalogram (EEG). This allows Philips to build computational algorithms based on imaging + dense array EEG data to guide interventions & improve outcomes.
You are responsible for:
Defining, developing and documenting engineering requirements, architecture, and detailed designs for medical device hardware and firmware/software.
Designing and implementing hardware, firmware, and software for medical devices.
Collaborating with the hardware, software, verification, and procurement teams to define interfaces, perform design reviews, and support verification/validation and design transfer activities.
Conducting design reviews and creating design documentation per quality system requirements.
Supporting the sustaining engineering teams.
Investigating reported field issues.
You are a part of:
A growing Philips Neuro team! You will be part of our new product team focused on extending Philips’ leading position into the Computational Neurology space, with a continued vision to guide therapy and improve outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience with medical device development and commercialization.
Experience with board-level hardware design, including analog, digital, and power management electronics.
Experience with a real-time operating system (RTOS) and Linux-based firmware architectures.
Ability to define, document, and refine unit requirements and create design documentation.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, and IEC 60601 standards.
