Technical Consultant, L1-Server Build

US Home Based role

In this role, you have the opportunity to providing high quality technical deployment services to our valued Philips IntelliSpace PACS customers. As part of a cross-functional implementation team, the Philips Build engineer will be required to deploy core technical components of our solutions across our customer base and will be involved through all phases of a projects staging and implementation lifecycle to ensure sustainability and readiness for customer production usage.

You are responsible for:

  • Build, Install, setup, and configure Philips IntelliSpace PACS servers, systems, and supporting technologies per Philips approved processes and procedures

  • Work with hardware order team to order and install any new hardware necessary to support a deployment

  • Able to deploy advanced Philips solutions on physical and virtual HA VMware environments.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Philips Project Managers and Technical Consultants to addressing any pre and post deployment issues.

  • Supports in-direct product validation for new software and hardware releases and provide feedback to the staging manager if something is not correct.

  • Supports local and global service teams and assists onsite engineers who are facing problems or difficulties with installations in order to achieve a perfect working solution.

  • Participate in Change Management functions related to creating, reviewing and approving Philips Change Request documents to ensure activities are performed following Philips standards.

  • Perform post-change review sessions; analyze pre, post, and future changes for projects/improvements/compliance.

  • Openly collaboration with team members, other cross functional teams, and/or customers to complete assigned projects.

  • Able to report project progress various reporting tools like Excel or PowerPoint to management.

You are a part of theimplementation team and will report directly to the Philips Install Base Program Manager. Working closely with the Software Services & Support Implementation Teams. This customer operations project services team is part of Philips Precision Diagnostics NA division. This position is remote, based from a home office anywhere in the Unites States.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

Technical Competencies

  • Experience in deploying enterprise level systems and software into live customer environments

  • IT-knowledge: Advanced and in-depth IT and IT workflow knowledge

  • Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware problems. Experience & working knowledge of the following Technologies/Protocols (not limited to the list below):

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 thru 2019 in an enterprise environment – Installation, Configuration, and Administration

  • VMware ESX - Installation, Configuration, and Administration

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 / 2008 /2012 /2019

  • Client Operating Systems: Windows 7/8/10

  • Microsoft Internet Information Server

  • Microsoft Active Directory / Domain Controllers

  • HPE Servers, HPE Sans

  • Working knowledge of Networking - default gateways, virtual LANs, static routes, and IP network address space.

  • PowerShell

  • RAID Levels, DICOM, HL7, VLAN, Switches, Firewalls, Routers etc.

  • Office: Skilled on MS office applications and related products

Professional Competencies

  • Ability to take command and control of challenging situations and bring to full closure while working independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to identify possible improvements that could be made to the processes and procedures being used, while multitasking in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work together and share experiences and insight with other colleagues via guidelines and on the job training

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in enterprise wide IT system deployments. Healthcare informatics technology and system deployment & delivery, preferred, but not required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field, or equivalent combination of academic and work experience.
