In this role, you have the opportunity to
Make a substantial contribution to the innovation of product and process. Develop new products, using the latest technologies and resources, often realizing systems based on unverified specifications. In this critical role, you are a strong individual technical contributor who will participate cross-functionally in building an extensible platform that enables new synergies both within Philips Aging & Caregiving businesses and external ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity for young engineers passionate about automation and DevOps, you will work closely with our development and management teams to ensure smooth operation. You will develop solutions and architectures that uphold the key pillars of DevOps philosophy: Infrastructure as code, CI/CD, automated testing, continuous monitoring and reporting, and automation.
You are responsible for
Designing and developing scripts/tools for continuous integration, continuous deployments, automation templates/tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration & change management
Designing and developing sidecar services for authentication and authorization
Build and deploy microservices to multiple environments
Automating configuration management, secrets management and cloud native deployments
Implement solutions for log storage and retrieval
Work with all areas of the business including leadership, product, development, operations, support center, and accounting
Create and maintain documentation for the solutions and operations (support) provided
You are a part of
Philips aging & caregiving team which brings the next generation of senior care by its unique Cloud-based SaaS service. We bring advanced fall-detection and wander management to senior care facilities, special needs schools, and other healthcare facilities. This is made possible by our proprietary software and hardware, coupled with our cloud-based backend (BlueCloud). As a DevOps Senior Engineer, you are responsible for the continuous enhancement and operation of BlueCloud, and collaboration with the team on testing new architectures/technologies that achieve our strategic goals.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
3+ years of experience with DevOps
Experience with multiple cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience writing code preferably python, node.js, and shell scripting
Experience working with databases, and comfortable scripting in MySQL
Docker & Kubernetes containerization experience
HA microservices architecture experience
Passion about technology and have a can-do attitude
Strong understanding of the theory and application methodologies of DevOps (CI/CD, automated testing, Infrastructure as code, etc).
