RF Team Leader Philips Finland

In this role, you have the opportunity to

(Team)lead and execute Hardware oriented Projects for the MR Therapy/Radiation Oncology business, which improves many people’s lives around the world. Some examples of applications that we work with you find here: https://philips.to/2Kblgji

You are responsible for

  • Provide technical leadership to RF engineers through coaching and mentoring for the E2E project lifecycle with the objective of achieving project goals that meet the required quality.

  • Create and compose input for the RF engineering team (4-5 persons) on estimates, resource needs, achievements and risks and present and discuss this with other partners in the business.

  • Works hands-on - both technically and functionally - in terms of carrying out optimization techniques for efficient site/cluster performance. Understand equipment co-location requirements for multiple operators and perform inter-modulation analysis.

  • You will analyze and provide feedback and verification of RF-related site engineering drawings

  • You will establish relationships with internal customers/partners and represent the team in internal and external forums.

  • HW design of MR Therapy products

  • HW integration of MR Therapy products

  • Design transfer activities and supporting manufacturing

  • Product improvements and configuration management

You are a part of

The Hardware group and work closely with the Development team at MR Therapy, Vantaa, Finland. You work in a global environment and you align with other disciplines/teams to achieve the agreed goals and ultimately customer satisfaction.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Previous experience in leading technical tasks or technical mentoring of engineers

  • Master’s degree or equivalent (engineering or physics)

  • Technical background (background of RF engineering skills is considered a benefit)

  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant, related role, e.g. development work or system engineering

  • Good documentation and interpersonal skills with fluency in English, verbally and written

  • Knowledge of medical devices and standards is an advantage

You are able to work independently as well as in teams and in multidisciplinary and multi-site environments. You are well organised, a team player, results driven, pro-active and able to work under pressure
