Philips Sr. Service Innovation MR Therapy / Radiation Oncology in Vantaa, Finland

Your challenge

For this vacancy you will define, improve and secure the serviceability of the products of the MR Therapy / Radiation Oncology as a Service Innovation Engineer Sr. You will have a keen eye on satisfying our customers and sustaining a healthy service business.

Your responsibilities

The Service Innovation Engineer Sr. is part of Service Innovation and participates in the Product Realization Process of MR Therapy in order to realize serviceability and related service deliverables. You work in a global environment and you align with other disciplines/teams to achieve the agreed serviceability goals and ultimately customer satisfaction.

As a Service Innovation Engineer Sr. you are responsible to:

  • Formulate requirements on system functionality that will allow the Field Service Engineer to diagnose and resolve product issues at customer sites, as well as functionality that will prevent issues from happening or affecting the customer.

  • Participate in design reviews to safeguard the required reliability and serviceability.

  • Cooperate with development to realize optimal serviceability of the product.

  • Validate the service functionalities, deliverables and overall serviceability before product release.

  • Define and create the required spare parts for the specific product as well as the service deliverable package (documentation, e-information, training material).

  • Participate in technology studies to represent the service point of view, investigate the implication of this new technology on the service processes, translate this into business impact and defend this in the project team.

  • Identify serviceability and reliability improvements in the Installed Base. Drivers for action are for instance feedback from field engineers, customer complaints, failure rate, and time to repair.

We are looking for

To be successful in this role you have;

  • Bachelor or Master degree in electronic or mechanical engineering or Information Technology

  • 3+ years of experience related to product development and/or project management.

  • Affinity and/or experience in a Service Department in a complex Product Development environment.

  • Experience in reliability engineering would be a plus

  • As a person you do not accept the “status quo” and you are eager to drive improvements.

  • Ability to set the direction and motivate people (winning commitment to service goals, building trust, conflict management and negotiation).

  • Able to work in multidisciplinary and multi-site environments.

  • Well organized and analytical

  • Good communications skills at various levels in the organization and you are fluent in Finish and in English, (oral and written)

  • Team player, results driven, pro-active and able to work under pressure.

You are a part of

Service Innovation within the Customer Service team and participates in the Product Realization Process of MR Therapy in order to realize service-ability and related service deliverables. Your office is in Vantaa, Finland but your work in a global environment and you align with other disciplines/teams to achieve the agreed serviceability goals and ultimately customer satisfaction.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor or Master degree in electronic or mechanical engineering or Information Technology

  • 3+ years of experience related to product development and/or project management

  • Affinity and/or experience in a Service Department in a complex Product Development environment

  • Experience in reliability engineering (would be a plus)
