Philips Senior Technician, Service Operations 2nd Shift in Youngwood, Pennsylvania

In this role, you have the opportunity to support Philips Service Operations in performing evaluations, repairs & estimates on medical equipment.

You are responsible for (but not limited to)

  • Performing evaluations, repairs & estimates on medical equipment.

  • Troubleshooting non-routine problems independently and guides other techs in routine troubleshooting. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

  • Interacting with teams internal/external, in order to further business opportunities, efficiencies, and compliance with regulations to which we are held accountable.

  • Ensuring all training requirements are update within our training system.

  • Assisting other technicians with current training needs.

  • Performing in other roles within the facility, as required, with the understanding that flexibility and cross-training leads to strong overall performance in varying conditions.

  • Documenting activities, as required, within various systems, in order to comply with regulations and increase traceability and transparency of activities performed.

  • Consistently driving your leadership across all aspects of the Service Center

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Associates degree in technical area required; diversified work experience in an operational environment (manufacturing, warehouse, distribution or service).

  • High level of prior interaction with SAP experience, MS Office

  • Experience with electromechanical equipment repair. Developed proficiencies with related diagnostic troubleshooting tools.

  • Ability to work well with other people, including remote teams with a different focus within the larger scope of Philips’ business. Ability to lead others and drive the focus of customer needs.

  • Ability to adapt to change and challenge the status quo. Ability to provide thoughtful, reasoned explanations for improvement suggestions. A positive belief in the Kaizen process and Lean methodology. An increased ability to take on multiple tasks and drive them to completion.
