Philips Health Economics & Market Access Manager in Zaventem, Belgium


In this role, you have the opportunity to

Build up Health Economics & Market Access for Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD) for Europe!

Participate in the local implementation of market access and health economic strategies and oversees projects that result in favorable adoption of value propositions to assure local market access for the Business Unit. You convert health economics and outcomes research initiatives into quantifiable tangible market access results and support the development of publications. As needed, you create cost comparison models and work locally with economic models in collaboration with KOLs (key opinion leaders). Your success in these efforts is evidenced by improved coverage and favorable reimbursement.

You are responsible for

  • Working cross-functionally within the internal corporate environment with Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Commercial, Medical Affairs and Marketing colleagues in International. Interacts with and presents to multiple departments within IGTD in International.

  • Calling on local stakeholders to deliver the economic value proposition and discuss economic evidence requirements

  • Implementing Health Economics and Outcome Research (HEOR) evidence and publication plans for IGTD in International.

  • Acting as Health Economics & Reimbursement expert, responding to internal questions, giving presentations and creating materials for Marketing and Sales.

  • Working closely with physicians, clinicians, health care professionals with health economics expertise to inform the economic value proposition, focusing on targeted countries and works with these leaders, Clinical department, Marketing and Training department to develop health economic education events at international and national conferences within International.

  • Developing and implementing plan to identify, evaluate and manage researchers and health economics vendors external to the company.

  • Reviews and critiques medical and evidence-based outcomes literature. Updates organization on the current state of research and literature on relevant topics.

  • Attends industry conferences, participates in external reimbursement education seminars and represents IGTD on relevant working groups at MedTech Europe

You are a part of

A very small team and you will be the first Health Economics & Market Access Manager in this team. The focus will be on European countries. You report to the Head of Marketing. You are based in Zaventem, Brussels.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master degree;

  • Trained in science/health economics/health outcomes;

  • A minimum of 4 years experience in the biotechnology or medical devices industry;

  • If you have interventional devices experience, that’s an enormous advantage

  • You are a skilled Health Economics & Market Access Manager
