At Philips Forcare, quality is an integral part of the development process. We are at the frontier of productizing interoperable solutions for data dependent workflows. These solutions link patient data from various healthcare enterprises to help Clinicians inform, treat or refer patients better. We are looking for a professional with both a Development and DevOps background to step in as our DevOps Specialist and join our dynamic software team.

You are responsible for
Ensuring the stable and reliable operation of Forcare development infrastructure using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Gradle and Jira
Implementing and maintaining automated unit and integration testing, supported by a fully automated; continuous build / continuous deployment (CI/CD);
Performing within the DevOps space and also staying/becoming involved as software engineer is key
Performance related tasks such as: backup, recover, migrate databases and web services
Standardize and document development and deployment operations and methods
Develop and promote automation methodologies to drive continuous delivery and integration
Working with the product owner and team lead(s) to understand and design (high-level) features (stories).
Implementing features in a test-driven development process.
Interaction – using scrum methodology;
Provide project support as required
Documents implementation and design decisions
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor and/or a equivalent field of academic degree
Needs to have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience within infrastructure development (Ops, Build, CI/CD) and experience with developing software products (with Java) is preferred
Experience with version control, job scheduling and configuration management tools such as JIRA, Github, Jenkins, etc.
Knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, Routing, Gateway, Firewall, and network security
Experience with at least one of the scripting languages eg; Python, Shell, etc.
Affinity with the Agile development method, version control, Test-Driven Development, automatic (unit) testing, continuous builds, and lots of interaction between developers
Experience with developing software for the healthcare market is preferred
JAVA, DICOM, HL7, HIE and Database Management are preferred
