In this role, you have the opportunity to
The Product Owner functions as the user’s voice during development. He/she works together closely with the product managers to translate product features into user stories. These user stories are used by the development teams for their development tasks.
In close cooperation with the Agile development teams and Forcare partners you help to develop new functionality, to make the exchange of healthcare information effortless for medical doctors and their supportive staff. As a Product Owner you will be responsible for translating product features into user story descriptions that can be implemented.
You will involve architects, customers, sales or marketing whenever this is appropriate.
You are responsible for
Contributes to and reviews program vision, roadmap and content presentations.
Coordinates with other product owners on content dependencies.
Facilitates inter-team dependencies in the respective sprints.
Define functional and non-functional requirements.
Defines iterations and stories with the team(s). Builds, edits, reviews and reprioritizes the team(s) backlog coordinating dependencies with other product owners
Has the primary responsibility for maintaining the story flow, possibly embedded in the agile team(s). Defines stories and provides input for user story details and priorities, establishes story acceptance criteria, accepts stories into the baseline / the final iteration plan. Supports team(s) with their story estimates and sequencing. Facilitates grooming sessions.
Prepares and participates in release planning, contributes to program increment planning, program backlog refinement, and preparation / prioritization of portfolio backlogs to continuously synthesize into program backlog and then to team backlog. Drafts the team’s specific objectives for the program increment.
You are a part of
You will be part of the product management and marketing team of Philips Forcare. In your role you will report to the director product management and marketing. You will collaborate closely with the other product owners, product managers and development teams to make sure we create features that enable our healthcare customers to support collaboration by sharing the right information at the right time.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
At least 5 years of working experience.
At least 3 years of experience in the Healthcare Informatics domain.
At least 2 years of experience in a product owner role.
BA, BS, or equivalent in technical discipline preferred.
Knowledge of lean and agile development methodologies.
Functions in a multidisciplinary international context.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.
Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new methods.
An eye for detail and a strong power to execute.
Development experience is preferred.
