In this role, you have the opportunity to
To develop and create new assembly equipment and upgrade existing equipment to meet the project and production requirements
To design and create automatic assembly machine to meet company development strategy.
You are responsible for:
Early involved NPI project from architecture phase, work out DFA together with product engineer and R&D, Study assembly solution and draft equipment /line functional Spec.
Design independently (semi) automated assembly equipment for new product realization to meet the project requirement in terms of productivity and quality.
Provide professional supports to optimization of equipment and line body’s structure/layout, improve the standardization of line equipment and the lines itself.
Works together with the R&D’s to optimize the design of the transferred product/equipment/processes in order to ensure it can run smoothly and fit for the factory’s specific production environment.
Co-operates with external suppliers in order to make sure their design can meet the standard of Philips Zhuhai and satisfy the production requirements.
Provide support to purchasing dept. in order to make sure the technical ability of the supplier can be correctly assessed.
Provide support to improvement of the existing production equipment to make sure the equipment is always optimized and up to date
Initiator of the sub-plan of equipment creation under the overall project plan to ensure all the related activity is well linked/scheduled and the progress can be monitored
Prepare all the related technical documents and follow up the equipment performance to make sure all the related equipment can be released to production on time.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Education: Bachelor or higher degree in engineering field. Specialism in mechanical / Electric / Automation engineering
Experience: Minimum 8 years experiences in the definition and/or design of non-standard automation equipment’s. Diploma holder must have 10 years of related experience. (Weight :> 70%), Experienced in automation of electronic products assembly line design will be value added.
Competency and Skills:
Be able to work independently in automation line / equipment structure design, cost and productivity improvement skills will be value +.
Good knowledge of mechanical designs, electronic control (PLC etc),
Basic knowledge in Statistic principle and tools, EHS, IE
Good knowledge of process and layout (industrial engineering)
Good knowledge of process engineering
Good communication and teamwork skills
Good spoken and written English, Workable English level (able to read and write E-mail in English), Fluently speak and read Chinese
knowledge in Microsoft office applications, MS project/MS , Skillful in AutoCAD and solid works Minitab or JMP/LABVIEW/PLC will be plus
Good communication and co-ordination ability
